SSL Implementation in Jboss EAP 5
Hello ! As in our last blog, we had a brief idea about SSL and types of SSL and Implementation of SSL in Apache. So, Today we will see the implementation of SSL in application server i.e Jboss EAP 5.
Now, Lets go ahead with practical or implementation of SSL in Jboss EAP 5.
1. First create a CSR file using below command.
Openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout server.key -out server.csr
- Give your CSR to your vendor and they will provide you with CER.
3. Using CER, create PKS file using below command.
keytool -importkeystore -srckeystore www.domain-name.com.pfx -srcstoretype PKCS12 -destkeystore www.domain-name.com.jks
- Now using PFX, create JKS.
openssl pkcs12 -export -in www.domain-name.com.cer -inkey www.domain-name.com.key -out www.domain-name.com.pfx
- Once, JKS is created. Take all keys i.e. CSR, CER, PFX and JKS, Keep into Jboss /conf directory.
6. Now give the path and password of JKS file into server.xml file and for Jboss EAP 6 and EAP 7, use standalone.xml file.
7. Now, Restart your Jboss server.
Eureka !! Its done.
Thank You !
Happy Learning !!!
