Introduction :

Apache ActiveMQ is a very popular open-source messaging broker brought to you by the same people who created (and work on) Apache Karaf, Apache Camel, Apache ServiceMix, and many others which is Apache. It has a vibrant community, is very flexible, and can be deployed in highly performant and highly available scenarios.

Directory Structure and Important Files in it :

  1. Bin – activemq-admin-, activemq.sh
  2. Conf – properties, activemq.xml, jetty.xml, camel.xml, activemq-static-network-broker1.xml, activemq-static-network-broker2.xml, activemq-jdbc.xml, activemq-stomp.xml, activemq-security.xml
  3. Data – logs
  4. Lib – library files
  5. Webapps – admin, demo, favicon.ico, index.html

Start and Stop of Apache Active MQ :

cd apache-activemq-5.6.0/bin

./activemq console

./activemq.sh start

./activemq status

./activemq stop

Important directories Path :

cd apache-activemq-5.6.0/bin

cd apache-activemq-5.6.0/conf

cd apache-activemq-5.6.0/data

Console :

Default Port : 8161

Console URL : http://localhost:8161/admin/
