Hi Every One ! Today we are going to see how to do installation and configuration of IIB (IBM Integration Bus) 


So, Lets begin !!!


1) Download the IIB installable from IBM site.

2) Create a folder "iib" in the root directory (Path:/iib) and copy the installable in it

3) Extract the installation package using the tar command
tar -xzvf

[email protected]:/iib# tar -xzvf

4) For shared user installation :
[email protected]:/iib/iib- ./iib make registry global accept license silently
License accepted
Group 'mqbrkrs' will be created

Work Path : /var/mqsi
Group mqbrkrs will be created.The user from which you will be accessing IIB should be added to mqbrkrs group

5) Verify the installed component
1) Version verification
[email protected]:/iib/iib- ./iib version
Version: ''
Product: 'IBM Integration Bus'
Build Number: '678'
IE02 level: 'ie02-L20140415-1143'
IB Level: 'ib1000-L181212.678_P'
Server level: 'S1000-L181206.10875'
Toolkit level:'20181204-1629'

2) Runtime Verification
[email protected]:/iib/iib- ./iib verify all
Verifying checksums of files in installation, this may take a few minutes ...
Create a node using:
mqsicreatebroker VERIFY23078
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Verify the node using:
mqsicvp VERIFY23078
BIP8873I: Starting the component verification for component 'VERIFY23078'.
BIP8876I: Starting the environment verification for component 'VERIFY23078'.
BIP8894I: Verification passed for 'Registry'.
BIP8894I: Verification passed for 'MQSI_REGISTRY'.
BIP8894I: Verification passed for 'Java Version - 1.8.0 IBM Linux build - pxa6480sr5fp20-20180802_01(SR5 FP20)
BIP8894I: Verification passed for 'MQSI_FILEPATH'.
BIP8878I: The environment verification for component 'VERIFY23078' has finished successfully.
BIP8882I: Starting the WebSphere MQ verification for component 'VERIFY23078'.
BIP8290I: Verification passed for the ODBC environment.
BIP8292I: '12' User data sources were not verified, because they do not have mqsisetdbparms credentials.
BIP8874I: The component verification for 'VERIFY23078' has finished successfully.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Set the web admin port on the node using:
mqsichangeproperties VERIFY23078 -b webadmin -o HTTPConnector -n port -v 4420
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Start the node using:
mqsistart VERIFY23078
BIP8096I: Successful command initiation, check the system log to ensure that the component started without problem and that it continues to run without
List all nodes using:
BIP1325I: Integration node 'VERIFY23078' with administration URI 'http://dell-latitude-e6320:4414' is running.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Create a server on the node using:
mqsicreateexecutiongroup VERIFY23078 -e default -w 90
BIP1124I: Creating integration server 'default' on integration node 'VERIFY23078'...
BIP1117I: The integration server was created successfully.
The integration node has initialized the integration server.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
List the server status using:
mqsilist VERIFY23078
BIP1286I: Integration server 'default' on integration node 'VERIFY23078' is running.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Stop the node using:
mqsistop VERIFY23078
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Delete the node using:
mqsideletebroker VERIFY23078
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

6) Create a user specific for IBM Integration Bus
[email protected]:/iib#  useradd -m mqbrkrs

7) Add the user to mqbrkrs group
[email protected]:/iib#  usermod -G mqbrkrs mqbrkrs

8) Configure the user mqbrkrs to run the mqsi commands on his login using the below procedure.Go to user "mqbrkrs" home directory /home/mqbrkrs.
Open the .bashrc file and paste the below 2 lines.

cd /iib/iib-
. mqsiprofile

Save the changes.

9) You have successfully installed IBM Integration Bus and also configured "mqbrkrs" user for it
