VAPT – Enabling TLS 1.1/1.2 in Jboss
Hello, Today we are going to discuss about enabling TLS 1.1/1.2
As TLS 1.2 is been recently introduced. So, recently in all VAPT TLS 1.2 is recommended.
TLS (Transport layer security) is just an more secure version of SSL. It is referred as security certificates as SSL because it is a more commonly used term, but when you are buying SSL you are actually buying the most up to date TLS certificates.
Before going directly for enabling to TLS 1.1/1.2. Lets first understands the concept of SSL and why it is used.
SSL is a secure socket layer, it is mainly used for secured connection between sender and receiver.
SSL is a industry standard and it is used by millions of website for secure transaction. For example, you can see our website as its showing secure connections i.e. https, which means I am using SSL for our website.

Path : jboss-eap-5.1/jboss-as/server/default/deploy/jbossweb.sar
Add below code in server.xml
keystorePass="PASSWORD" sslProtocols = "TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2"
This way, you can enable TLS1.1/1.2 in your Jboss Server.
